QA Engineer - Emerging Products Group

Job Summary: Responsible for developing and maintaining QA test plans and automation for storage system and data management products. Develop tools and infrastructure for automated testing. Test software products. Great opportunity to learn and grow within a new BU in the Emerging Products Group of Network Appliance


 


Essential Functions:


The Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to: 

Read and understand product and software design specifications. 
Gather test requirements; develop test plans, test reports and test summary. 
Design, implement, and maintain automated functional level test cases for storage systems and data protection software products. 


Requirements:


Key requirements include:

The qualified candidate should 5+ years of QA experience
Software test development and automation knowledge and experience using C, Perl, and other scripting languages.
Desired: Knowledge & experience with systems or appliances. 
Essential: The candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills, and organized presentation skills. 
Required: Experience with storage, storage management or data protection products. 


Education:


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
