Job Title: ?QA Manager, Client Applications

Department: Quality Assurance

This position will be based in Los Angeles.

?

JOB RESPONSIBILITY/SUMMARY:

Own and manage client application QA Projects and ensure timely release of high quality products. Additional responsibilities include QA project management and release management.

?

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

?

The successful candidate will be required to:

?????????? Manage the overall performance of the QA team through coaching, mentoring, and training.

?????????? Hands-on support to the QA engineers during execution of tests and troubleshooting of windows based applications.

?????????? Take ownership of product quality and work with Customer support in resolving Production issues.

?????????? Manage, define and review component-level and end-to-end test plans and test cases.

?????????? Develop and manage the schedule for QA projects.

?????????? Ensure that new and existing product functionality and components being released are reliable, defect free, and function as documented.

?????????? Review requirements specification and identify gaps and inconsistencies.

?????????? Responsible for coordinating and managing the releases to the Production environment.

?????????? Manage the bug tracking process for client applications.

?

Minimum Education: BS Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

?

Minimum Experience: Must have 5+ years of Software Quality Assurance or similar experience with at least 2 years of hands-on management experience. Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment; ability to multi-task; ability to manage multiple projects in parallel. Demonstrated ability to work in a team oriented environment. Ability to interact with development, project manager, other QA managers and functional managers.

Additional Requirements:

?????????? Win32 client software development tools and methodologies

?????????? Extensive background in SQA methodologies and experience developing and executing comprehensive test suites.

?????????? Excellent people management and motivational skills.

?????????? Hands on experience in Windows based client applications.

?????????? Hands-on experience with DRM or other Conditional access technologies.

?????????? Experience with linux, Win 2K, Win XP.

?????????? Experience with Microsoft Project.

?????????? Experience with QA and Release management tools (such as configuration management tools; bug tracking tools and test automation tools)

?????????? Understanding of digital music downloads a plus.

Analytical/Interpersonal Skills:? Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Excellent?analytical and organizational skills; Attention to detail a must.
