QA/QC Scientist

ATL International has a QA/QC Scientist position open, located in Richland, WA at the Hanford Site.? Successful candidate will serve as the primary laboratory quality control specialist for a full-service analytical laboratory performing analyses on highly radioactive samples.? Is responsible for monitoring, correcting, and improving the quality of the analytical product for 222-S ANalytical Services.? Performs reviews of analytical work instructions, plans, procedures, analytical control limits, and reports.? Responsible for the development and maintenance of the laboratory quality assurance plan(s), quality assessment, and performance evaluation programs.? Identifies and and implements quality improvement initiatives for the analytical operations.? Provides quality systems in compliance with the DOE orders, internal policies and procedures, and the needs of the clients.? Investigates quality or data integrity/ethical issues, and exercises stop work authority for conditions found to be detrimental to ethics, data quality, or contract compliance.? Assists in quality responses to assessments and surveillance performed by DOE-ORP, state and federal regulatory agencies, and internal and customer oversight organizations.

Minimum of a BS in Chemistry or related science, 1 year Nuclear experience, 2 years experience in laboratory QC.? Must have a minimum 2 years experience in laboratory quality control.? Experience with IH accredited programs, quality assurance, NQA-1, DOE-CAP, NELAC desired.? Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.?
