QA Software Engineer

Mitek Systems is looking for an experienced QA software engineer to test several SDKs.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

?  Using existing test plans and create new ones, as well as test data sets, ensuring coverage and boundary conditions. Present concise test results, incl. version-to-version comparisons.

?  Testing MS Windows-based SDKs, using existing programs, both GUI and command-line based.

?  Reconfiguring and maintaining test environments, e.g. using Norton Ghost(tm).

?  Troubleshooting problems, creating reproducible tests.  Writing concise and clear bug reports.

?  Understanding run-time use of DLLs and OCXs, .NET framework usage, configuration files, etc.

?  Using bug tracking system and helpdesk software.

?  Doing basic computer maintenance (swap hard drives, network connections, etc.)

 

Required personal skills:

 

?  Min. 2 years of previous software QA experience on recent versions of MS Windows (incl. Server).

?  Independent, quick learner, motivated, well-organized, detail-oriented.

?  Able to switch tasks quickly, and to perform tasks concurrently.

?  Test software in imaginative, thorough fashion.

?  Excellent oral and written communication skills.

 

Desirable experience:

 

?  Testing of SDKs.

?  Experience with imaging/scanning and banking/check processing.

?  SQL Server setup and configuration.

?  VMware or Virtual PC experience.

?  VC++, VB, as well as .NET programming experience (VB, C#). Compiling, running and debugging sample applications.

?  Developing test scripts using in-house or commercial QA tools.

?  Reviewing SDK documentation for accuracy and completeness.
