QBMS Engineering Technician

Description:
This position would ideally be located in Cleveland, OH, however could be located anywhere in the US where there is a Rockwell Automation office.

This position will require 50% travel.

This position supports the implementation, test and customer-site startup of life sciences clean room HVAC and qualified building management systems working in a project team environment under direction of engineering personnel. Includes applicable electrical testing, instrument calibration, air balancing and on-site interface with other building trades.

Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Technology or equivalent knowledge.

Typically 2 to 4 years of experience in life sciences HVAC clean-room field startup and commissioning.

Working knowledge of PC equipment and related software.

Experience with direct customer contact on a technical basis is desirable.

Working knowledge of AC / DC circuit design.

Must be available and willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays to meet customer project commitments.

Successful experience working in a team environment.

Working knowledge of PLC-based industrial controls, including electrical schematics and ladder diagrams.

Must be able and willing to travel (40+%) and work at customer sites, including industrial plants, ships, etc., which may require climbing, working in confined spaces and other unusual work environments.

Possesses application knowledge & experience specific to life sciences clean room HVAC systems:
*Working knowledge of GAMP 4 project methodologies
*Familiarity with validation & qualification protocols
*Clean room HVAC mechanical startup experience including dampers, air handlers, filters, etc.
*HVAC control system startup experience including control valves, transmitters, actuators, sensors, etc.
*Familiarity with facility automation and building management systems.
*Working knowledge of applicable codes and industry standards including NEC, ASHRAE, UL, etc.
