Plans and directs activities to assure that the dimensional, material, and visual characteristics of products are consistently produced and that products of acceptable quality are consistently provided to customers.

Major job duties include

Responding to customer complaints through written and oral communications using appropriate and customary formats.

Documenting the corrective action in the Tyco Electronics Complaint Handling System (TECHS), or equivalent within the specified time period.
Coordinating inventory containment activities for quality concerns among customer, supplier, Tyco Electronics-USA, and global Tyco Electronics locations.

Coordinating root cause analysis, corrective action planning, corrective action verification, and nonconformance prevention activity, as appropriate, using the TOPS (Team Oriented Problem Solving) and the DMAIC model (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) guidelines.

Evaluating notices of customer returned material which are not accompanied by a formal customer complaint as to the necessity for corrective action from the responsible supplier.

Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering or Mathematics preferred
Five or more years of related work experience
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer preferred
Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Green or Black Belt experience preferred
Working knowledge of ISO/AS9100.
Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize a rapidly changing set of objectives
Strong interpersonal skills including the demonstrated ability to effectively work under challenging conditions.
Excellent oral and written communication skills demonstrated by the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization and with suppliers.
Excellent understanding of Quality Management Tools, Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.
