Quality Assurance Engineer - 0600412

AMKO Service Company is an ISO 9001:2000 certified, wholly-owned subsidiary of Praxair. AMKO is a comprehensive service provider to the Industrial Gas Industry. With five locations in North America, AMKO offers a wide variety of cryogenic service, including new cryogenic trailer manufacturing, cryogenic trailer rehab and repairs, cryogenic tank rehab and repair, railcar repair, rehab and repair of CO2 trailers as well as the fabrication of gas apparatus, such as gas regulator manifolds.

AMKO provides a variety of services to the high pressure gas market, specializing in the rehab and repair of tube trailers and ground mounted receiver bundles. AMKO also provides Acoustic Emission (AE), Ultrasonic Shear Wave and Hydrostatic testing of tube trailers as well as a variety of specialty services such as equipment painting, nitrogen plant rehab and cold box manufacturing. Currently, we have a position available in Hope, AR for a Quality Assurance Engineer.

Candidate we seek will follow quality control/quality assurance guidelines and procedures and perform audits to ensure raw material, finished goods and systems comply with customer, regulatory and statutory requirements. Will plan and conduct activities concerned with quality control/quality assurance of manufacturing processes, materials and products; and perform internal audits of the quality management system to assure compliance with customer, regulatory and statutory requirements.

Essential duties and responsibilities: ? participates on project teams as quality representative and develops quality systems ? facilitates 5S projects ? develops and maintains quality documentation and changes ? assists in maintenance of the quality management system measurements ? develops and implements innovative solutions and drives continuous improvement ? assists in control of nonconforming products ? assures compliance of gauge calibration systems ? assures compliance to internal, customer, statutory and regulatory requirements ? completes and submits customer, statutory and regulatory paperwork ? participates and contributes to ISO 9001:2000 quality management system. Some travel required (less than 25% of time).

Must have knowledge of inspection methods, techniques and documentation and an understanding the manufacturing environment. The ability to interpret engineering drawings; knowledge of quality systems; and excellent written and verbal communication skills are also required; as well as strong computer skills including Excel, data bases & Word. Ability to interface and influence all levels within the organization is preferred.

Bachelors degree in related field preferred along with 5+ years relevant operations experience and 3+ years relevant quality experience.
