 Job Summary

The position is in place to provide Quality Assurance of control system programming and User Interface design for end-users. General day-to-day characteristics of this position include testing of completed AMX programming services, review of project related tasks (control system documentation, other AMX project resources, etc) and reporting to project Programmer and/or Project Manager on situational status. The typical functions of a Quality Assurance Engineer: Review of contracted control system documentation and system hardware configuration, unit testing of all NetLinx/Axcess programs and touch panel interfaces as required by contractual obligations, weekly input of time records by project and project reporting to lead Project Manager as required.

 Job Attributes

? Setup mock test fixtures, which include third-party and AMX devices, to simulate the finished product.

? Apply broad knowledge and experience to address critical issues.

? Keep up to date with industry practices and developments to exceed commitments to customers.

? Provide explicit and timely feedback and any necessary support and assistance to improve performance.

?  Lend specialized expertise to multiple projects.

?  Read, analyze and interpret general business correspondence and technical procedures.

?  Clearly communicate technical information to both expert and novice audiences.

 

Requirements

? Bachelor?s Degree in related field.

? Experience in testing code and User Interface designs.

?  Experience in computer programming (C/C++, Visual C, HTML and SQL). NetLinx, Axcess and Touch Panel Design experience a plus.

?  Minimum of 3-5 years of applicable experience within a control system or Audio Visual organization a plus.

?  Ability to read and decipher RS-232, IP protocol for third-party devices.

?  Knowledge of Audio and Video wiring and installation

?  Ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.

?  Previous experience working in a similar role

?  Proven ability to manage project team resources

?  Qualified candidate must have proven oral presentation and customer interaction skills.

?  Ability to interface with all levels of the organization, both internally and externally.
