Quality Control Manager

American Commercial Lines LLC (ACL) is a fully integrated network of marine transportation companies, operating approximately 3,200 barges and 124 towboats on the inland waterways of North and South America and transporting more than 45 million tons of freight annually. Additionally, ACL operates marine construction, repair and ancillary service facilities, and river terminals.

 

We have an immediate need for a Quality Control Manager at our Jeffboat facility located in Jeffersonville, IN.  This position is responsible for managing and developing the quality control initiatives and staff.

 

Minimum Requirements:

 Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business or related field  5-10 years of quality experience; experience in Quality Sciences Knowledge of ABS/USCG inspections Welding expertise Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills  Ability to supervise others and facilitate teamwork Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and delegate Ability to make sound decisions in time-sensitive, high-pressure situations 

 

This position may require walking extensively, climbing and working in confined spaces.  You may encounter hazards associated with a barge/boat manufacturing environment.  Personal protective equipment associated with specific work environments and job duties is required.
