Quality Engineer - 0600176

Praxair Surface Technologies, Inc., a Fortune 500 company and a world leader in surface enhancement and related technologies, has a unique opportunity for a Quality Engineer at their Main Street Plant.

Under direct supervision candidates will be responsible for performing basic engineering calculations, investigations and tasks as assigned. You will prepare or assist in preparing reports, graphs, planning layouts, cost estimates and summaries designed to communicate project progress or results. Interface with internal and external customers/suppliers. With minimal supervision will be responsible for maintaining and establishing systems that meet the requirements of the corporate quality system, ISO 9001, AS9100, NADCAP and customer requirements. The Quality Engineer will also support the PQM in audits and the resolution of any findings from such. The successful candidate will write reports including the generation and analysis of statistical data. Additional duties will include review and approval of Process Documentation, Material Review Board and NCR's. The Quality Engineer will serve as PQM when the PQM is off site.

This position typically requires a B.S. or M.S. in Engineering (Mechanical, Metallurgical or Materials preferred) with at least 2 years of relevant work experience utilizing quality systems. Computer literacy with MS Office Suite required. Experience with Oracle and Statgraphics (or equivalent) preferred. Must be able to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers.
