Quality Systems Engineer / QUAL1012

Position Description: The Quality Systems Engineer assists the Quality Systems Manager in planning, coordinating and directing the quality assurance programs and systems designed to ensure outstanding business performance and manufacturing is consistent with established standards by performing the duties listed below.

Position Main Responsibilities:
Ensure the integrity of the quality system
Propose process improvement opportunities based on continued analysis and monitoring of metrics, goals and objectives
Coordinate change control board (CCB) activities
Prepare for and perform internal quality audits, generate audit reports, corrective actions, verify integrity of root cause analysis and effectiveness of corrective actions
Manage and/or populate different quality databases (i.e. Document Control, CAR/PAR, Internal Audit, CCB, etc.)
Apply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes within organization.
Facilitate the development of action plans to maintain/extend the quality management system certification

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
Bachelors Degree required, graduate degree preferred
ASQ Certification preferred (e.g. CQA, CQE, CQMgr)
1-3 years of experience in Quality Systems deployment and management
Must possess strong interpersonal skills and ability to build cross-functional teams and manage complex multi-tasked activities.
Experience with ISO 9001:2000 required: experience with ISO/TS 16949:2002 desirable
Must be familiar with managing a multi-tier documentation system
Hands on experience with FMEA, process control plans, PPAP, 8D problem solving
RAB lead auditor certification preferred

Well organized and able to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Able to relate to individuals at different levels within the organization.
Some travel required.
