R&D Advanced CMOS Process Integration Engineer
As an Advanced CMOS Process Integration Engineer at Micron, you will propose, develop, and optimize production-worthy, high-performance, and low-cost CMOS device process modules that meet Micron’s CMOS roadmap, as well as execute relevant process experiments on existing pilot line and production process flows. Your responsibilities will also include developing new test structures and test routines to characterize the modules that you will work on, which will include transistor, capacitor, field devices, and BEOL. You will be expected to maintain close communication with several process groups in the Research and Development (R&D) Process Development, Design, PE, and WLR/QA departments and work closely with these groups to solve device and design issues.
Successful candidates for this position will have:
The ability to work with a wide variety of people in different areas of R&D.
The ability to effectively accomplish tasks in a timely manner.
The ability to plan and execute effective experiments, and write concise reports documenting experiment results.
The ability to increase process margins by suggesting process alternatives and evaluating different processing options.
A good knowledge of a DRAM process flow and operation and/or logic transistor device fabrication and performance evaluation.
The ability to evaluate physical and electrical data that are critical to successful process integration, such as probe, parametric, test, short-loop, and material analysis - SEM, TEM, SIMS, XPS, and EDS.
Process and characterization knowledge and experience in buried digit line DRAM process flow, CMOS device optimization (surface p-channel, gate electrode development and work function engineering, access device engineering, raised source/drain, device modeling, spice modeling, RO characterization, transistor design methodology, and scaling), and design rules/advanced mask design (preferred).
Two years of process integration, CMOS module development, or related experience that required a similar skill-set and level of responsibility.
A dependable, self-motivated, and goal-oriented personality.
The ability to aggressively execute complex process experiments.
The ability to focus on solving problems as part of a team or as an individual.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The willingness to take primary responsibility for the development of a process module and electrical performance.
The willingness to take on new tasks, investigate and research literature when needed, and propose solutions based on experiments run and results obtained.
Education:
MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics or Material Science is required; extensive experience at Micron or a similar company and the title Engineer or Scientist can be substituted for a formal degree.
