Description:

In our fast paced platform and product development environment, this individual will assemble, test and debug, and document hardware prototypes and test and process systems. This involves documenting and building equipment that is manufacturing ready.  Primary responsibilities include:

 

? Assisting engineers in the design, assembly, test and debug, and documentation of optoelectronic production prototypes

? Assembling, testing and debugging electrical, mechanical and optical test and process systems

? Assembling fixtures, cables, opto-electronic interfaces, etc.

? Working with engineers in the integration stages to learn and acquire skills to troubleshoot and maintain all aspects of the system

? Troubleshooting and repairing equipment in manufacturing and development

? Maintaining and organizing lab equipment and supplies

? Ensuring system documentation remains current and accurate

 

Minimum requirements:

 2 years college or equivalent, plus 3 years industry related experience.

 

Other skills include:

 

Circuit board prototypes, assembly and troubleshooting

Prototype and assembly of mechanical fixtures

Experience with SMT devices

Experience with embedded processors and interfaces

Familiarity with test software interfaces is a plus
