R&D Engineer - Packaging

Procter & Gamble is seeking candidates for a Packaging Engineer position in our Cincinnati, Ohio facility.  Successful candidates will be responsible for leading & supporting package development projects in the Beauty Business.  Primarily designing, testing, and qualifying new packaging (primary and secondary packs) and/or devices.  This person will also lead and develop the next generation of packaging innovation to deliver breakthrough package designs.

 

 



BS Engineering, (Mechanical or Materials Science preferred)

 

Other qualifications include:

Has a healthy interest in mastering packaging technologies relevant to the consumer business.  This requires managing the interaction with multiple suppliers during project delivery. 

 

Healthy interest in improving consumers lives via innovative products and packages.

 

Direct the design, development, and fabrication of prototypes for technical and consumer testing. 

 

Execute tasks independently without heavy supervision.  Execute technical tests, analyze and summarize data, and recommend next steps based on results. 

 

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to proactively manage project needs/issues within and across functions and in taking effective action against identified and emerging project needs. 

 

Strong leadership skills needed to energize a multifunctional team and integrate packaging technologies into projects and deliver them to market.



 

Typical candidates must have less than 8 years practical experience.

 

Must be willing to travel.

 

Requirements also include minimum overall GPA of 2.75 (on 4.0 scale) and a minimum GPA of 3.0 (on 4.0 scale) on Engineering related courses.

 

Candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, refugee, asylee or lawful permanent resident.
