R&D Fluidics Engineer - Immunoassay Development

Kelly Scientific Resources has a great opportunity for a R&D Fluidics Engineer with a growing company in the Irvine area!!

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
-Perform simulations studies with commercial and proprietary software according to the scientific and technical specifications, time, cost and quality requirements.
-Manage technical interfaces with other R&D teams, sub-contractors and internal business customers.
-Understand and evaluate the requirements, propose the most suitable tools and models, transfer and communicate the results
-Develop the internal models and codes.
-Identify the involved physical phenomena.
-Build the required models and numerical schemes.
-Translate into robust and user friendly numerical code.
-Protect his/her innovation with patents
-Ensure the scientific approach is traceable and builds knowledge accessibility

Main skills/Experience:
-Acknowledged methodology in Computational Fluid Dynamics, gained during significant R&D experience in academic or industrial environment
-Advanced scientific general background in science and engineering
-FORTRAN, C++, MATLAB languages
-UNIX & Windows development environments
-Knowledge in software functional specification and quality assurance
-Multiphysics modeling : fluid/solid software coupling and linking

Qualifications:
-Masters degree or PhD and 5-7 years successful experience in Research & Development required.
-Assignments will include proposal prep reparation, physical and computational flow model design, testing and analysis of flows related to micro fluid flow systems.
-Experience in physical and/or computational flow modeling is required.
-Good technical writing, communication, and project mgmt skills are necessary for the position.
-Working experience with clinical samples (blood, plasma, serum) and medical devices is a plus.

This position is a project based position with the opportunity to become a permanent position.
