American Showa, Inc. a Tier 1 supplier to the automotive industry has an immediate opening for an R & D Project Engineer to join our Research and Development Shock Absorber Team at our Sunbury, OH manufacturing facility.

 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

 Creating and tracking Development Schedules for New Development Projects.Leading and coordinating a Project Development Team with Members from R&D and the Manufacturing Facilities to meet Internal and Customer Deliverables.Acting as main contact with customers and suppliers to meet Internal and Customer Deliverables.Establishing and monitoring Project and Piece Price Cost to meet Internal and Customer Targets.

 

The ideal candidate will possess:

 3+ Years of Project Engineering ExperienceAbility to Read and Understand Drawings and BOM?sMicrosoft Office and Project ExperienceBS Degree in Mechanical Engineering.Experience Leading Cross-Functional TeamsISO-9001/TS16949 Experience

 

Beneficial Candidate Attributes:

 Knowledge of Japanese Transplant Development Cycles (Honda experience a plus)Suspension or Chassis Design Experience3D Modeling Experience (Catia V5 is preferable)
