RETRO FIT PRODUCT MANAGER

Position Summary: 

Manage the cutting systems retrofit product lines, including costing, pricing, product line composition, profitability, and promotion.  Interface with other departments, and provide sales and project management support for new retrofit products.

 Primary Responsibilities:

?  Responsible for managing the profitability and direction of the cutting systems retrofit product lines, including plasma upgrades, CNC upgrades, drive package upgrades, process station upgrades, etc.

?  Work with international business units on retrofit & sub-assembly supply program.

?  Recommend and set pricing for fixed retrofit packages and custom retrofit quotes in order to maintain desired margin levels.

?  Acquire and maintain technical expertise on existing and legacy products in order to effectively recommend and quote appropriate retrofits.

?  Maintain detailed costing information on retrofit packages and sub-components.

?  Produce customized cost/margin estimates on retrofit projects as required.

?  Review and approve/revise all Request-For-Quote forms submitted by the Regional Sales Managers, and all requests for proposals submitted directly by customers.

?  Assist the Quote Administrator in producing customer proposals for retrofit packages.

?  Work with Engineering to develop new retrofit products or applications.

?  Work with Project Manager to review all incoming retrofit orders for accuracy and completeness.

?  Maintain up-to-date market information and benchmark competitive products.

?  Maintain accurate knowledge of all retrofit products and related cutting and marking processes.

?  Create and maintain sales tools for use by the Regional Sales Managers.

?  Provide content for sales presentations, product brochures, and tech data sheets.

?  Provide technical sales support for the Regional Sales Managers.

?  Provide technical training for the sales force on new retrofit products / product improvements.

?  Host and/or assist in hosting customer visits, plant tours, and product demonstrations.

?  Conduct sales presentations as required either on site or at customer locations.

 Minimum Qualifications: 

?  BS in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field with electrical/mechanical background, or equivalent plus 4-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

?  Must have good communication skills - interpersonal, written and verbal

?  Experience with cutting machines and mechanized cutting processes.

? Willingness to do moderate travel.

? Ability to work with customers, vendors, and sales force.

?  Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and BPCS.
