RF Development Engineer

Advanced Energy Industries has an immediate opening for an experienced RF Development/Design Engineer to join our RF Power Systems Development team in Fort Collins Colorado. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in Power RF up to 50KW. Experience developing power conversion equipment used in semiconductor manufacturing and/or thin film deposition equipment is highly desirable. You will perform engineering work in basic and applied research, development, and/or design of new products and/or sustaining of existing products.

Essential Duties:
? Designs, modifies, and evaluates electronic apparatus, components, or circuitry for use in electronic equipment and devices.
? Mentors less experienced engineers and technicians.
? Analyzes equipment to establish operating data and conducts experimental tests.
? Designs analog, digital, and microprocessor-based circuits to meet specific parameters. Includes identifying design requirements, schematic capture, and worse case component analysis.
? Manages projects, including performance, technical requirements, budget, and schedule.
? Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment:
? Works in a noisy and fast-paced engineering/manufacturing lab environment.
? Also works in a standard office environment and uses general office equipment (telephone, PC, copier, fax machine, etc.).
? Completes many repetitive tasks that include the use of electronic assembly equipment.
? Troubleshoots high voltage power supplies.
? Operates sampling and real time oscilloscopes, pulse generators, meters, power supplies, and special test fixtures.
? Works under limited supervision.
? Overtime may be necessary in times of increased demand.

? Ability to be creative.
? Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
? Engineering skills.

Experience:
? Minimum of four years? related experience. Seven to ten years related experience is preferred
? Has acted as Design Leader on a successful Type I project.
? Is qualified to lead the development of a Type I project for a major new product platform.

Education:
? Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required. MSEE or higher is desirable.
