RF Technician IV

Due to our continued growth and customer demand we are currently recruiting for a qualified, interested and available RF Technician IV for an opportunity in our Base Station Subsystems Group located in Warren, New Jersy.   

 

Responsibilities Include:

Projects complex problem resolution applying policies and procedures and practical application of the general and specific technical aspects of the job

Work with engineering team to develop and test high power RF Power Amplifiers

Develop automated test software for data acquisition

Assembly operations to produce prototypes and models

 

Builds RF functional test fixtures for models and high volume production

 

RF circuit development-plan and execute unit level performance validation tests both manual and automated; analyze data, trouble shoot defects

 

Supports and assists engineers in writing operating procedures for production associates

 

Assist engineers in writing troubleshooting guides for production associates

 

Develop and maintain custom automated test software

 

Operates automatic, semi-automatic and manual assembly equipment. 

 

Identifies product assembly issues to assist in continually improving product cost, quality, interval and throughput through the prototyping and manufacturing processes

 

Assist engineers with training of production associates for high volume production

 

Responsible for hardware models tracking, repair, & update

 

Participates in document and design reviews

 

Supports the resolution of issues on hardware and/or firmware design or documentation

 

Prepares and files appropriate quality records

 

 

Qualifications:

 

AS/BS degree in engineering (ASEE, BSEET or BSEE preferred) plus a minimum of 2 years experience in the Electronics industry with RF focus

 

5+ years of professional experience with at least three in a lab/assembly environment

 

Proficient in software development using Labview and Visual Basic

 

Solid knowledge of manufacturing functional testing

 

Exposure and proficiency in basic RF products, concepts, and measurements

 

Proven data acquisition skills

 

Familiarity with RF and digital hardware setups, (Spectrum Analyzers, Network  Analyzers, Power Meters)

 

Strong verbal and written communication skills

 

Ability to write summarize test results in a clear and concise manner

 

Specific experience in wireless communications, high power RF amplifier design, or linearization a plus
