Radar Systems Engineer

ISA Corporation, a Utah-based firm providing engineering support for the defense industry is seeking to hire a Radar Systems Engineer to support radar system assessments and evaluations for the USAF at Hill Air Force Base, Utah.  This position will work as part of a team responsible for studying, analyzing, modeling, assessing, and evaluating wind turbine farm impact to long range radar system performance.

 

Duties will include but not be limited to

 

−Providing in-depth engineering expertise on a variety of assigned complex radar systems and associated equipment.

−Accurately determining system condition through extensive test measurement and analysis.

− Developing evaluation test objectives based on user requirements and system capabilities/limitations.

− Effectively implementing policy and procedures directly affecting specific programs and engineering projects.

−Organizing engineering tests and evaluations, setting objectives, and assisting in establishing standards of performance to meet mission requirements.

− Accurately documenting equipment condition, performance, system interface, and project status.

− Collecting and analyzing data from a variety of radar systems and data processors.

− Effectively applying knowledge of radar analysis technologies and testing in maintaining, analyzing, and directing restoration of radar performance to optimal levels.

− Accurately presenting oral and written technical papers, reports, and briefings.

− Performing complex engineering study and analysis to support radar evaluations, modifications, anomalies, and problems encountered with radar configuration, optimization, and operations.

 

Some travel will be required to remote or isolated radar sites.

 

Preferred qualifications include 7-10 years of radar engineering experience.

 

BS degree in Engineering and relevant work experience required.
