Refrigeration Engineer

This position will be based in Rochester, NY.  Rochester is the third largest urban area in New York State, and in 1998 we were one of ten communities in the nation to receive the All-America City award as a great place to live.

 

In this highly visible and influential role you will be responsible for coordinating with Design and Construction on all refrigeration, HVAC and controls strategy development.  As the company ?subject matter expert?, you will be called upon to evaluate the latest technology and equipment changes.  You will also be essential in providing assistance with developing capital improvement requirements for the organization as well as setting the standard for skills development and training for all HVAC/R mechanics company wide.

 

Required experience includes:

 Thorough knowledge of refrigeration, HVAC systems, electricity, hydraulics and their control systems.  Specific secondary coolant or glycol systems  experience from the retail market industry is highly desirable.Bachelor?s degree in refrigeration/HVAC or mechanical engineering required and 10 years or related hands on experience. MS in Mechanical Engineering preferred.An apprenticeship of RSES School training and/or equivalent.Organizational AgilityInterpersonal SavvyStrong problem solving skills
