Regional Engineering Manager


This role of Regional Engineering Manager (REM) is based in Mooresville, NC, with potential future assignment to a field location within region of responsibility. The Regional Engineering Manager will provide direction and assistance to 6-8 Field Industrial Engineers. He/she will work closely with DC Operations and will require 50-75% travel to locations in a designated region. Responsibilities also include the development, coordination, and consistency of operational methods, procedures, and controls utilized in the Regional & Flatbed DC's; the development and implementation of specific improvement projects and programs across the network; interfacing with corporate support groups to improve the flow and controls for merchandise through DC's.

A REM will act as a mentor to all engineers on the Supply Chain Engineering Team and will help lead the training/development of new Industrial Engineers. As the Supply Chain Engineering Team grows, the REM will play a key role in developing engineering talent. He/she will serve as a key communication link between the corporate and field based engineering teams.


Position Requirements BS/BA degree in Industrial Engineering or business related field is required. Five (5) plus years of progressive Engineering/Operations experience in a multi unit environment is preferred.
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills to all levels of the organization as well as platform skills for training delivery and group presentations.
? Demonstrated experience in managing technical resources.
? Good organization and planning skills, and analytical and conflict resolution skills.
? Self starter with a proven ability to handle multiple projects.


Preferred Qualifications ? Knowledge of AutoCAD, Excel, and Access.
? Experience in time and motion studies, standards development and implementation, facility layout, and project/capital justification
