Position Description:

Chevron is accepting applications for the position of Reliability Engineer located in Pascagoula MS,Salt Lake City UT, Richmond CA, El Segundo CA, Pembroke (UK), through September 15, 2006.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Member of technical team responsible for enabling business units in CVX?s Operational Excellence Reliability Improvement process. This position provides a unique opportunity to interact with upstream, midstream, and downstream functions at domestic and international locations and learn how to improve organizational performance. Travels 25% to 50% of the time. Pascagoula, Salt Lake, Richmond and El Segundo positions provide support to local refining efforts to implement Reliability Processes.

Qualifications:

ESSENTIAL POSTION FUNCTIONS:

Participating, facilitating and leading assessment teams focused on improving asset utilization and production efficiency. Providing instruction and assistance on the technical tools of Reliability Opportunity Identification, Failure Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, Reliability Centered Maintenance, Reliability Availability Maintainability modeling and Life Cycle Cost Analysis. Consulting with business units to determine needs, providing direction and assistance. Will lead/facilitate reliability and value improving projects for capital projects. Facilitating best practice and technology transfer. Making presentations to employee and management groups. Ability to train all levels of Employees in the Reliability Process. Expert working knowledge of operations, maintenance and capital projects. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to enable excellent working relationship with business units. Ability to work independently and in teams imperative.

SPECIAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS OR ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATION/INFORMATION:
