Reliability Engineer - DIRECT HIRE

Kelly Engineering is currently recruiting an experienced Quality/Reliability Engineer for a full time opportunity in San Antonio, TX.

Qualified candidates will be responsible for ensuring quality of products by providing reliability tool support in new product development, current product maintenance, and systems development. This individual will be key in incorporating reliability techniques into the NPCP as well as providing supplier quality support. This quality engineer will provide support for all product lines.


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops plans and goals for component, subsystem, and product reliability.
Directs and coordinates all Reliability Failure Analysis investigations.
Facilitates the use of Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions on field failures.
Establish a 'Product Life Cycle Test' Laboratory.
Responsible for the Monthly Trend Analysis and reporting of the product warranty data by component and product.
Work with Quality Engineers and other technical team members to improve overall product reliability.
To become acknowledged as the company's qualified resource for reliability assurance and failure analysis.
Participates in any and all reasonable work activities as may be deemed suitable and assigned by management.
Conforms to, supports, and enforces all Company policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education Required:
BS, Electrical Engineering

Work Experience: 5-10 years of industry experience and 5 years or more of that being in Reliability Engineering.

Skills:
Experience with reliability testing for electromechanical devices and plastics.
Familiar with Weibull Plotting, Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT), Stress Testing (HASS), and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
Product Verification and Validation.
Materials Testing
Able to effectively communicate highly technical information to both technical and non-technical associates

Additional Qualifications
Experience in regulated design environments ' specifically medical device development, FDA or ISO registered work experience.
Regulatory experience with UL and IEC standards
