Reliability Engineer, Mid

Key Role: Maintain responsibility for developing and updating complex reliability and availability models. Use operational data from a variety of databases to validate reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM) predictions and determine operational availability. Develop reliability and availability assessment reports. Apply knowledge of RAM techniques, theories, and applicable industry and government standards and processes to ensure products will perform their intended functions within acceptable limits. Assist with hardware failure reviews and failure reporting and conduct failure modes, effects, and corrective action studies. Help develop RAM proposal inputs for the client to submit to the government.



Functional/Industry Knowledge:

-8-10 years of experience with related work required

-Knowledge of life-cycle engineering and its effect on system readiness required

-Knowledge of reliability modeling tools and techniques to assess mission reliability, operational availability, and maintainability for complex system of systems architectures

-Experience with performing life and repair data analyses based on field data

-Experience with ReliaSoft Weibull++, Raptor, Relex, or BlockSim

-Knowledge of technical analysis required to determine root cause and corrective action

 

Education/Certifications or equivalent required:

BA or BS degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Reliability required; MA or MS degree preferred

 

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
