Salary Range: DOE

Purpose of Position-The position exists to allow Securaplane to rapidly and cost effectively apply failure analysis and reliability processing for its product lines. I.  Essential Job Duties:

? Product and Process review of failures and deficiencies related to:

-Power Conversion products

-Video and RF products

-Production processes

-Other related products as pertinent to Securaplane

? New Product Reliability Analysis including FMEA and MTBF for New Development

? Keep current with state-of-the-art techniques for failure analysis as Securaplane may require.

? Outside interface representing Securaplane for customer requirements as well as providing subject matter expertise

? Train lower level Engineers and Technicians

 II. Non-Essential Job Duties:

? Assist other departments with job duties and tasks, as needed within the scope of expertise.

? Complete additional job duties and tasks as assigned and instructed by supervisor.III. Physical Requirements:

? Considerable interpersonal contact, both in person and over telephone.

? Considerable use of computer, telephone, filing cabinets, and other general office equipment.

? Some travel required to represent Securaplane on site for customer presentations and other duties as assigned.

? Able to handle multiple projects and deadlines in high energy design environment.IV. Minimum Qualifications:

? BSEE or 10 years equivalency via Electronic Design Functions acceptable to the Director of Engineering

? Desire to continuously increase personal capabilities and skills

? Excellent communication skills for customer interface under pressure

? Field travel with minimal notice

? Completely self motivated and ability to motivate others

? 7 years of experience in FMEA

? 5 years hands-on, electronic circuitry debugging, failure analysis or sustaining engineering environment

? 2 years experience in aviation manufacturing environment

? 5 years experience within an electronics manufacturing environment

? Strong knowledge of component reliability trade offs

? Proven track record of successful FRACAS under pressure throughout the field via customer feedback

? Working knowledge of UL, FAA and regulatory design requirements including DO-160

? Strong knowledge of PSPICE, MathCAD, OrCAD

? Proficient with MS Office for general department documentation
