Raytheon Radio Frequency Components (RRFC) develops designs and manufactures compound semiconductor millimeter/microwave integrated circuits (MMICs) and modules for defense and commercial applications.


Reliability & Operations Engineer II

Opportunities currently excite for energetic new-college graduates to work as Reliability & Operations Engineers. Responsibilities are to contribute to the completion of milestones associated with the reliability evaluation activities, perform microwave device characterization, participate in defining and implementing new characterization systems, support Team members with data extraction and analysis and provide enhancements in improving the logistics and effectiveness of the Reliability Team.

Our 300 person facility is located 20 minutes north of Boston in Andover, MA. We provide our customers with leading-edge custom MMIC and Module solutions for defense radar and communications applications. We produce our designs in our 25K ft2 GaAs Production Foundry along with a Class 100 Clean Room. New semiconductor technologies, such as GaN, are developed in our 9K ft2 Research and Development Foundry.


Basic Qualifications

- M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering or Sciences, or related engineering curriculum


- GPA of 3.0 or higher


Desired Qualifications

- Strong analytical skills


- Customer focus and collaboration skills

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Knowledge of MS Office or other presentation tools

- Knowledge and interest in the operating principles of semiconductor devices.



- Solid analytical skills will help the candidate grow to become a device reliability physics expert.

- Reliability evaluation is an interdisciplinary endevor and skills in operating a wide variety of electronic test equipment is essential.

- Programming language skills beyond the basic applications ( Windows, Excel, PowerPoint) is Experience and knowledge of RF measurement concepts is highly desirable.

- Good coordination manual dexterity to handle small and delicate components is desirable.

- Experience with LabView or similar programming environments is useful

- Organized work habits.

- Resourcefulness and willingness to take on or accept changes assignments.

- Ability and discipline to follow directions.

- Experience with scheduling and coordinating activities
