Doherty Career Solutions has partnered with a manufacturer of critical components for global security, medical, military, and aerospace products to search for a Research and Development Engineer.  The Research and Development Engineer will work as a member of the Technology Development Group of the Research and Development Department to create new technologies, processes, and products.

 

Responsibilities:

 Ability to research prospective technologies that may provide our products competitive advantages in the future and will also support the transfer of selected technologies into the field.Utilize established mathematical and scientific techniques to compile and analyze data Write technical reports detailing procedures, outcomes, and observations of their work.Design, develop, and test all aspects of electrical and mechanical components.Work in or possibly lead cross-functional project teamsCommunicate to outside engineering services while coordinating services

 

Skills:

 Bachelor?s degree in Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or related technical field is required; some post-graduate work is preferred.6+ years of experience is preferredCommunicate clear and logically, both written and orally is a firm requirement.Stable work record, demonstrate mature judgment and above average learning ability.Self-starter with excellent problem solving skills.Demonstrate interpersonal skills as they apply to team leadershipExcel in the physical sciences and scientific methodology.Enjoy learning and familiarity with the latest technology in a wide array of areas.
