SCADA - IT Engineer

Harris Group is seeking a SCADA - IT Engineer to work in our Seattle office to provide high-level design and consulting services for large-scale SCADA and network communication systems. This individual will be assigned to the Water/Wastewater group, but projects will range over a variety of processes in an array of industries.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

? Responsible for design of large SCADA communications systems.

? High-Level SCADA configuration and programming

? Design, development, testing and documentation of applications

? Startup and commissioning at customer?s site.

?  Outside Plant field data collection and design including fiber optic and copper cable design both aerial and underground, conduit, vaults, building entries

? Some travel and significant customer interaction are required.

 

Desired Qualifications:

 

? BS in engineering or computer science, (or related field with computer emphasis) MS degree a plus

? Work experience/knowledge developing end-user applications with C#, C++, Visual Studio or .NET

? Knowledge of object-oriented programming techniques

? Experience with a commercial RDBMS such as Oracle and SQL Server preferred

? Experience installing, configuring OSI software a plus

? Knowledge of analog and digital telemetry systems

? Two or more years of experience with IT programming

? Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications is required
