SENIOR CIVIL ENGINEER


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

?  Roadway and highway design, widening, resurfacing, drainage, traffic control and signal design.

? Transportation planning including site impact analysis, travel demand modeling, signal timing, capacity analysis, and traffic simulations.

 

Minimum Requirements:

? Bachelor?s degree in Civil Engineering and a minimum of 8 years of experience in the design of transportation systems (highways, local roads, interchanges).

? Experience in areas such as widening, resurfacing, drainage structures, and traffic control and signal design.

? Licensed P. E. in Alabama or ability to become licensed through comity upon hire.

? Thorough understanding of American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) design manual.

? Experience with Alabama Department of Transportation plans, specifications and contract documents preferred.

? Strong oral and written communication skills.

? Ability to work independently as well as with others to produce desired results with minimal supervision.
