Senior Communication Systems Engineer

Role: As a Senior Communication Systems Engineer, you will be a member of a top-notch research team developing innovative MIMO/Space-Time modem technologies.  As an individual contributor you will design, implement and test algorithms for both terrestrial and satellite communication systems.  In addition, you will participate in architecture definition, design specification, algorithm development, performance modeling, system-testing and data analysis as well as proposal efforts.





 

Qualifications:

? M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree with 5+ years experience in signal processing and wireless communications

?Theoretical and practical understanding of signal processing and communication theory, specifically encompassing the following areas: Detection and Estimation Theory, Stochastic Systems, Information Theory, Linear Algebra, Adaptive Signal Processing, Multi-Rate Signal Processing and Filter Banks

? Modeling and simulation experience in Matlab or C/C++

? Good communication and presentation skills

? Systems design and algorithm development experience with MIMO/Space-Time, beam-forming and interference mitigation technologies highly desired

? FPGA/ASIC, DSP or other embedded system design and implementation experience a plus.

? Working knowledge of IEEE 802.11 (WiFi), IEEE 802.16 (WiMAX), mobile cellular (GSM, CDMA, UMTS or HSDPA), satellite or military wireless communications systems

? SIGINT/COMINT systems experience

? Current DoD SECRET or TOP SECRET clearance HIGHLY DESIRED.
