SENIOR ENGINEER – CHEMICAL PROCESSING

POSITION SUMMARY

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The Senior Engineer?s primary responsibility will be to provide technical direction for various technology development programs within Infoscitex?s growing materials and chemical processing area.  Successful candidates will possess demonstrated hands-on practical engineering skills and ability to manage technology development programs.  In addition to technical responsibilities, it is anticipated that the Senior Engineer will supervise one or more junior staff members within the Advanced Materials and Biotechnology Group. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

This position requires a minimum of a BS in an engineering discipline (chemical or plastics engineering preferred) with a minimum of ten years experience in an R&D or process engineering/development capacity.  Working knowledge of a range of materials/chemical processing techniques/equipment will be essential for this position.  Candidates having earned an MS or PhD in Materials Science or Chemical Engineering should have at least eight years practical professional experience.  Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must for this position. Project management experience is highly desired, as the successful candidate will be expected to manage one or more projects in the near term.  Demonstrated experience working on U.S. government contracts and interfacing with government personnel is sought but not required.
