STRUCTURAL DESIGN ENGINEER

STRUCTURAL DESIGN ENGINEER Description: Volt is Partnering with an Established Aircraft Manufacturer to hire Structural Design Engineers in Wichita, KS.
Job Duties: Research develop, analyze, design, and test Company products using Engineering and Scientific Principles. Translate Engineering and Scientific Concepts from preliminary ideas through product life cycle. Analyze and verify product design and performance for adequacy and including reliability. Research and develop material and processes that support the translation from abstract concepts to functional products.
Apply knowledge of Engineering and Scientific Methods and Tools to define and characterize behavior of products, services, and processes. Integrate technical, cost, value, and safety considerations into the product definition to comply with customer, regulatory, and Company requirements.
Document results in drawings, datasets, reports, specifications and supporting data. Interface with other members of Project or Program Teams, Management and Technical Staff to define and implement Engineering solutions to meet Group, Organization, and Company objectives. Develop solutions to a wide range of complex technical problems, requiring ingenuity and innovation. Work according to established guidelines. Determine and develop approaches to solutions. Develop, document, and maintain processes, methods, and tools. Help resolve programmatic and technical problems that would affect cost, schedule, and performance. Provide functional guidance to less experienced staff and act in a technical leadership capacity.



Requirements:
Educational credentials (Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil) meeting classification standards for Engineers and a minimum of 7 years experience in an Engineering classification. Preference is given to candidates with an appropriate ABET accredited Engineering degree. Catia V5 desired but not required. Engineers with Catia V4 experience and a BSME, BSAE or BSCE are qualified as long as they are a strong driver and have extensive structures experience.
