Job Description:
Software development team member responsible for the ongoing design and implementation of object-oriented frameworks and applications for use in medical device products intended for volume production and deployed in distributed care environments.
We are seeking a talented software developer with a proven track record of development experience of realized software in marketed products. This is a hands-on position involving all aspects of software development life cycle following a rigorous process. The candidate must be able to design and implement highly reliable and easy to use software applications working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Analyze, evaluate and review requirements and software designs for appropriate implementation.
- Design and develop software modules based on guidelines, requirements and industry standards.
- Provide input to technical publications and write design and test documentation.
- Test and integrate software and validate to FDA standards.
The following skills are required:
- Minimum 3 years of working experience developing software for Windows and/or Linux using Java and C++
- Experience with InstallShield based software installation developments
- Experience with Windows XP Embedded and Linux configuration, setup and gold image creation
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
The following skills are desired:
- C#/.NET experience is a bonus.
- Experience with one or more of DICOM, CORBA/IDL, XML/XSLT, RPC and STL is a plus
- Experience with automated software testing, involving tools like WinRunner
- Experience with multi-threaded, realtime or distributed software systems development
- Experience with nuclear medicine or other medical image application development is a great plus
