SYSTEMS ENGINEER - HUMAN PATIENT SIMULATORS

METI, the leader in this high tech field of medical simulation technology, has a key opening for an experienced Systems Engineer to help design our next generation of human patient simulators, surgical simulators, exam simulators and related products.

In this role, you will:
- Plan and schedule tasks required to develop and deliver system designs
- Translate functional requirements into system and sub-system design and specification
- Analyze and approve trade offs of system designs
- Present system designs to customers and participate in customer meetings
- Develop software requirement specifications
- Select and acquire hardware and software
- Plan and lead others in systems integration
- Plan and organize system level training activity
- Develop and implement system and sub-system test and evaluation methodologies; Prepare test plans and procedures
- Prepare and review system level documentation an acceptance test procedures
- maintain requirements, specification, design, and test baselines

The ideal candidate will have:
- U.S. Citizenship or green card
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Software Engineering (MS preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years in Systems Engineering and a minimum of 10 years experience in either Electrical, Software Engineering or Systems Architecture
- Demonstrated history of technical contribution in more than one Engineering area with specialization in at least one area
- Strong leadership and coordination
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to communicate technical issues verbally and in writing
- Strong understanding of engineering development lifecycle with strong capacity for risk analysis, assessment, and definitions
- Expert knowledge of applicable programming languages, systems software and data communications
- Experience in estimating development tasks of varied scope and complexity
