Job Responsibilities:

The Sales Engineer (SE) II is a primary, and/or second, level of technical sales support resource that interacts with internal and external customer teams to develop technology-based solutions for Verizon's Business Solutions Group Small to Medium (SMB) business customer set. This position is responsible for understanding and gathering key information about our customers business applications to a level of detail than can help determine the best technology solution for their business needs. In addition, this position will require a broad background of organizational and systems experience and knowledge, in addition to experience and knowledge of automated software and hardware tools used for design, sizing and pricing of customer voice and data communications systems.

Required Skills & Experience:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in a technical discipline. Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical role; preferably with PBX & VoIP products.Background with communications systems from such vendors as Nortel, Cisco, Adtran, Alcatel, Avaya, Siemens, and other prominent technology vendors in the PBX, communications server, Voice Over IP (VoIP) technology space.

Desired Skills & Experience:Specific experience in the design and pricing of complex Nortel PBX, hybrid, and VoIP systems. Especially valuable will be experience in the design and pricing of large Nortel system upgrades. The knowledge and experience of Cisco VoIP systems, e.g. CallManager, in addition to larger Nortel systems will be a plus
