Scheduler - Engineering/Boiler/Project 65-85 K/yr

Engineering & Procurement client involved in designing, fabricating & supplying boilers for power plants, pulp & paper plants and similar industrial plants has an IMMEDIATE NEED for a Project Scheduler. You need 7-10+ years of experience planning, scheduling, monitoring, updating & reporting on Engineering & Procurement projects. Experience doing this on large Boiler EPC projects would be a big plus! You need a 2 year technical degree as a minimum, with a 4 year degree in Business preferred. You must be proficient with Primavera or MS Project scheduling software. Experience with Primavera P3 3.1 or P3 E/C is preferred. You need experience scheduling resource loading and manpower projections. You will work with Project Teams to develop and coordinate project design & procurement schedules using Primavera P3 3.1 and P3E/C scheduling software. You will be involved with developing & maintaining Integrated Master Schedules for larger boiler projects. You will also be involved with the critical path analysis and reporting to project team members and schedule updating on a weekly basis. You will support the Project Controls Manager by planning & organizing the resource planning (including task planning by individual) and scheduling on the project as well as overseeing & coordinating staffing levels for the project. You will also be expected to report to the Project Director early warning notice of positive and negative trends that effect the schedule of a project. You will be expected to collect actual man-hours expended for each Cost Account on a monthly basis. You will maintain backlog project planning, people loading, analysis & reporting. The following would be considered a plus: (1) Project Management Institutes Certification - Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), (2) AACE ? Earned Value Professional (EVP) certification, (3) transition implementation experience converting from P3 3.1 to P3E/C or Primavera 5.0, or (4) 2-10 years experience with risk analysis software and implementation.
