Scientist/Engineer

Job Description:

 

Provide analytical support to government and private sector customers on WMD (weapons of mass destruction) and conventional weapons effects using applicable explosive penetration codes and modeling, IMEA, HPAC, etc.  Prepare technical analysis, briefing materials, and reports in support of customer projects.  Present findings and lead technical discussions in both large and small group contexts.  Conduct modeling, simulation, statistical, cost and engineering analyses for customer study efforts and decision support.  Format and organize the results into briefings and reports.  Apply, as required, analytical tools such as mathematical optimization, statistical methods and mathematical modeling.  Maintain currency in relevant literature and analytical techniques.

 

Qualifications:

 

?  Education:  Advanced degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Physics, Computational Modeling and Simulation, or related engineering or scientific field.

?  Work Experience:  Minimum of five years of computational modeling and simulation engineering/design experience involving explosive and/or weapons of mass destruction effects and their impacts on various target types.  Both military and private sector experience a plus.

?  Communication Skills:  Excellent written and oral skills.

?  Security Clearance: Secret.  Top Secret (SCI) eligibility highly desirable.

Maintain customer satisfaction through the production of timely and quality products. Establish professional relationships with appropriate customer representatives.  Identify follow-on work and additional work areas which would contribute to the improved performance of the customer?s mission.
