Job Description:
This position is located in Pacifica, CA (San Mateo County.)

The Segmental Bridge Engineer is responsible for assuming lead specialty bridge technical oversight responsibility on either cast-in-place or else precast segmental bridge construction. Position has technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating segmental bridge construction engineering assignments involving unique or controversial problems which significant affect the project. Responsible for monitoring assigned staff to determine that the contractor's activities are monitored and controlled in accordance with design specifications and contractual requirements. On-site liaison between Client, Company Personnel and Contractor in resolution of project issues. Analyze complex construction/design problems requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures and consults with design engineering personnel. Represents the project at meetings and conferences, helping with reviews of shop drawings, resolving integrated drawing conflicts, responding to RFI's and helping generate CCO's. Must be pro-active to identify potential problem areas in advance, as required to avoid potential delays, claims, damages and work stoppages.


Job Qualifications:
+Fifteen years design and construction experience, with minimum of 10-years of segmental bridge construction experience.
+CA PE preferred, though BS in Engineering or equivalent may be acceptable.
+Also potentially acceptable would be a highly experienced and qualified segmental bridge construction specialist without a BS in Engineering.
+Best qualified candidate will be well experienced in management, design, construction engineering, geometry control and inspection on segmental bridge construction, experienced at training of project staff.
