Senior Avionic Software Engineer

Embedded software developer for airborne avionics, flight controls, and vehicle management systems on Sikorsky S92 and Hawk family helicopters.

Responsibilities will cover the entire development lifecycle: requirements, design, implementation, test and qualification. This is an intermediate level technical position; candidate will be expected to take a lead role in the one or more phases of the development process. Duties also include creation and review of technical specifications, participating in periodic technical reviews, and aircraft integration support. Requirements traceability, design documentation, formal test procedures, and peer reviews are key components of the job.


Bachelors Degree in Software Engineering/Computer Science or Electrical Engineering. Masters degree desirable.

3+ years embedded software development experience.

Applicants must be highly motivated and prepared to work in an environment that has a well-defined process with zero-defect software as its goal.

Previous experience with any of the following is desirable: Ada, C, Perl, Ethernet, Networking Protocols, Database Development, SATCOM, MIL STD 1553, ARINC-429, DOORS, MATLAB, RTCA/DO-178B, CMMI, or Mission Management Software.
