Senior Buyer

Works under general supervision of Purchasing Manager, will determine purchasing requirements from engineering and production schedules. Monitors the movement of materials through the production cycle and maintains inventory at planned levels.

ERP System knowledge. Must be proficient in the use of MS Office Suite especially and Excel. Must be proficient in MRP System use. Must have electro/mechanical purchasing and parts knowledge. Bachelor's Degree and 5 years experience, CPM Certification.
Ability to operate PC and general office equipment. Places orders for a variety of materials and supplies with established vendors. Interviews or contacts suppliers, secures bids and reviews bid with supervisor before placing orders. Expedites the filling of orders by suppliers to meet production requirements and schedules
