Senior Chemical Engineer

Chemical Engineer to join our team! 

 

PhD or MS in Chemical Engineering, and a minimum of 5 years experience. 

 

Successful candidates must have developed strong chemical engineering process research and development capabilities and have a knack for innovative solutions to technically challenging problems through work experience in a research and product and/or a process development environment.

 

Good general industrial process knowledge and strong interest in conducting research and development with the singular goal of commercialization.  Capabilities should include varied chemical process and equipment design and development experience, reactor equipment design and a working knowledge of pilot operations. Having experience over a broad range of industrial applications in the chemical industry, is highly desirable.  Candidates with demonstrated CFD capabilities will be given preference.

 

An inquisitive, problem-solving disposition is required.  Responsibilities will encompass development of chemical process equipment, new process and new products that are being developed in an advanced R&D environment. 

 

Candidate will have key responsibilities in the development of advanced reactor concepts.  Issues to be evaluated include mass transport, heat transfer, mixing, scaling, process control and process optimization. 

 

In this role, the candidate will take responsibility for assigned projects from inception to completion.  The candidate will generate project requirements to resolve product/process problems and to support development of new products/processes, initiate technical investigations, and prepare protocols.  The position will require research and application of advanced chemical engineering theories, methods and research techniques in solution of complex and advanced chemical engineering problems.

 

The candidate will also be required to write reaction protocols, research reports, prepare grant proposals, and to periodically present work in a team setting and to customers, clients, investors, government organizations, and collaborators.

 

Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary.  Must be authorized to work in the US.  An enthusiasm for working in a diverse, demanding and exciting technology environment is crucial.  Strong work ethic and team player attributes are paramount.  A Chemical Engineering degree from an ABET accredited college is required.  Benefits
