Position Summary:



A senior software developer involved in active rapid development in the area of application management technology. AMT encompasses the areas of installation, serialization, registration, licensing and product updates. This position involves implementation of an integration library that unifies several disparate components. The position requires interaction with product teams integrating the technology into point products and suites. Daily interaction will be with the AMT architect and senior management but this position is primarily code development.


 


Knowledge & Skills:



Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or closely related field. Five to seven plus years of experience in software development, with 2-3 years as a senior developer. Domain expertise should ideally include system management tools or technology or related area. Solid understanding of Windows and Mac OS as it relates to system management, such as file system issues, permissions and user privileges, security etc. Experience delivering software as a core technology component, understanding trade-offs, and helping in the integration into other products is a BIG PLUS.

Solid  and up-to-date C/C++ development skills in a Windows/Mac environment. Ability to work directly and effectively with senior developers on component teams, quality engineering and other colleagues to influence decisions and direction for a favorable outcome supporting the goals of the technology/solution. Ability to work with 3rd party technology partners, cross-functional groups within the company, and desire to work on technology injected into every product in the company.
