Senior Configuration Manager
This position is located in our VA, Chantilly facility

Performs system analysis, design, development, test and evaluation activities, ensures the integration of software, hardware, reliability, maintainability, safety, survivability, human and other requirements in the total engineering effort. Formulates operational concept, performs mission and functional analyses, conducts requirements and information analysis, cost-benefit analysis, system trade studies, and risk analysis. Selects system architecture, allocates requirements and prepares specifications.
Requires Bachelor's degree.
Requires minimum 7 years experience (minimum 4 years experience with a Master's degree, or 2 years experience with a PhD).

Configuration management of computer systems, networks and their configurations, workstations and their configuration, software development activity, performance tool development and distribution, and applications distribution for specific projects under the responsibility of Agency. Configuration change tracking and documentation control to include, but not limited to concepts of operation, requirements identification and documentation, preliminary and detailed system definition, system design review, performance monitoring tools and production software. Provides support at meetings, enters or updates configuration tracking information in appropriate databases, develops board agendas, notifies board attendees of meetings, enters board related data in appropriate databases, installs, maintains and troubleshoots problems related to Configuration Control Board action items/issues. Processes on a regular cycle discrepancy reports, requirements, build reports, investigation reports, request for changes, operation change requests. Responsible for all board meeting minutes and action items, and scheduled activities. Assist in changes to the CM process, responsible for establishing and maintaining both new and existing, schedules. Must be knowledgeable in computer systems and gathering/identifying requirements. Must be knowledgeable in life-cycle support, including maintenance, administration, and management. Must be able to track project studies, plans, actions items, take minutes, etc.
SpeAgencylized Qualifications: Experience performing assessments, developing and/or improving configuration management processes/procedures and implementing these processes/procedures.
