Job Description: Under administrative direction, Senior Control Systems Design Engineer functions as Project Lead Engineer, supervises and coordinates the activities of assigned task force engineers and designers, schedules and assigns work loads, and evaluates employee performance and quality of work.  Senior Control Systems Design Engineer plans and develops engineering projects with unique or controversial engineering problems involving exploration of subject matter, definition of scope, investigation and development of novel concepts and approaches and maintains liaison with individuals and units within or outside the organization.  Senior Design Engineer acts independently on technical matters.  Senior Control Systems Design Engineer prepares or reviews specifications, calculations and technical studies.  Senior Design Engineer may be required to act as Lead Engineer on medium to large projects under administrative direction or may be assigned a part of a major project under a Lead Engineer.  May be assigned special administrative or technical duties. He establishes basic design criteria and specifications for Control Systems and works on assigned project(s).  He reviews project(s) regularly to ensure compliance with basic design.  He ensures that requisitioning and purchasing functions of all commodities are fulfilled to meet scheduled field deliveries.  He develops and continuously upgrades Engineering Standards and Procedures.  He assists other departments in their development and upgrading of standards  regarding Control Systems requirements.  Senior Control Systems Design Engineer reviews calculations, sketches and layouts of other engineers and designers.  Senior Control Systems Design Engineer prepares or reviews specifications, calculations and technical studies. 

 

Job Requirements:  BS in Engineering required

Minimum 10 years Experience required

Professional Engineering Registration preferred
