Senior Controls Project Engineer

FKI Logistex is a leading single-point provider of automated material flow solutions to customers around the world. The Airport, Post & Parcel Division provides design, manufacturing, installation and after-sale service/support of systems to the airport baggage handling, postal and parcel industries. We are currently recruiting for a Senior Controls Project Engineer to work in our Louisville, KY office.


Primary Function:
Complete engineering projects by developing and evaluating project plans and progress, and by effectively managing project resources.

Essential Responsibilities/Functions:

Program the computer by encoding project requirements in PLC language and entering coded information.

Confirm program operation by conducting tests and modifying program sequence and/or codes.

Responsible for the installation and technical support of PLC based hardware and software.

Facilitate project goal and objectives by establishing personal rapport with clients and staff.

Maintain project schedule by monitoring progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.

Advance project objectives by establishing personal rapport with clients and others in a position to understand and facilitate service requirements.

Determine project specifications by studying product design, client requirements and performance standards, completing technical studies, and preparing cost estimates.

Determine project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing project elements.

 

Requirements:

Skilled in PLC programming.
Knowledgeable about controls equipment and design.
Travel ? 50 -60%.
Five years experience.

Degreed in electrical engineering, equivalent degree, and/or experience.
