Senior Design Test/Product Engineer--Located in Phoenix-Tempe, Arizona

 

Roles and Responsibilities

 

Design For Test (DFT) engineer to work as part of a chip development team on embedded microprocessor/DSP core designs.

Individual will work as part of a chip development team consisting of system engineers, digital design engineers, Analog Engineers, and physical design engineers to create products with embedded DSP/microprocessor cores.

Individual will be responsible for designing and inserting test methodologies including JTAG, Memory BIST, Logic BIST, and ESSD Scan into chip designs, determining chip fault coverage, validating/creating chip level test vectors, and generation of chip test specifications.

Individual will also work closely with Test Engineers in the development of test programs for specific testers to insure minimum test time, high reliability, and maximum fault coverage.

 

Knowledge and Skills Required

 

BS/MS EE plus 4 or more years direct experience in the simulation and test program development of full chip designs.

Applicant should have knowledge of digital design methodologies especially in the area of simulation using Verilog, RTL creation, and synthesis.

Applicant should also have a good understanding of DFT design principles (Scan, IDD, BIST, JTAG, fault coverage, etc) and hands on experience with DFT CAD tools.

Direct experience with actual de-bug, development, or running of tester programs for HP83K, 93K, or J750, or similar ATE equipment is highly desirable.
