We currently have an exceptional opportunity for a SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER in the Critical Facilities group in our Los Angeles office.

MAJOR ACTIVITIES:
o Engineer large projects, prepare reports and specifications, and provide a very high level of technical leadership
o Perform calculations, equipment selection, equipment specification, system design, system layout, field investigation, and construction administration
o Effectively and personably be able to organize others supporting your efforts
o Handle multiple projects at one time
o Maintain client satisfaction
o Perform all work with minimal supervision and coordinate with a quality assurance/quality control supervisory team
o Consulting responsibilities include preparation of due diligence, gap analysis, and feasibility reports
o Interface with clients and attend meetings regularly
o Apply skills to produce drawings consistent with client requirements and standards
o Master company's drawing organization format & drawing standards

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
o Ability to draw sections/details with no direction
o Have mastered reading and interpreting Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing drawings/documents for the purpose of coordination and project management
o Understand file locations, names, layers and symbology per company standards
o Proficient in design and calculation software
o Possess strong recordkeeping skills; documentation skills
o Possess a good sense of coordination and follow through
o Maintain strong presentation skills
o Ability to work in close contact with the entire design team
o Ability to communicate well with the Architect/Client
o Ability to maintain and follow-up with client satisfaction
o Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
o Possess solid knowledge of Mechanical, Plumbing or Electrical trades
o Possess detailed knowledge of equipment from various manufacturers for his/her trade and able to make proper selections independently
o Ability to prepare single line diagrams
o Ability to understand standard details and their application
o Ability to perform calculations for his/her trade to support design
o Ability to estimate construction costs and to evaluate feasibility of construction
o Ability to write technical reports
o Ability to perform construction administration tasks
o Ability to conduct due diligence reports under supervision of Senior Engineer/Designer will comply with group and company standards and procedures
o Ability to write engineering proposals for projects
o Ability to conduct field visits and write field observation reports
o Possess solid knowledge of systems design for various projects
o Ability to communicate design concepts via sketches and renderings
o Ability to edit standard details
o Possess detailed knowledge of specifications
o Ability to write and edit specifications
o Possess solid knowledge of codes and standards for his/her trade
o Be a polished professional with client experience; possess knowledge of ROM (Rough Order of Magnitude) construction costs
o Ability to identify own training
o Ability to accept criticism to positively improve skills
o Willing to seek knowledge from others
o Ability to maintain enthusiasm about work and be productive
o Is a team player
o Ability to maintain enthusiasm about enhancing standards and assisting Technical Leadership Committee with tasks related to development of standards
o Available to work overtime to meet project deadlines

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
o Bachelor Degree from accredited university in Mechanical, Plumbing or Electrical discipline (U.S. P.E. or E.I.T. will be accepted in lieu of the above)
o 7-10 years relevant experience in the Mechanical, Plumbing or Electrical fields
o Proficiency in the latest version of AutoCAD
o Proficient in design and calculation software; MS Excel; MS Word
