Typical projects:  Marinas up to 2,500KVA, placement of transformer and distribution panels on the docks, incorporated the distribution system to facilities on the shore and connection to overhead and buried medium voltage distribution, modifications to dockside utility stations Wolrld Leading Corporation located in Williamsburg, VA has an opening for a Senior Engineer. The position duties inlcude but are not limited to the following: Coordinate and implement engineering programs related to the development of proposed new designs or advanced application concepts of products manufactured at companies Marina Power location in Williamsburg VA. These Products include Power Outlets for Marina?s and RV/Campgrounds and substations for Marina applications. The assignment will also require an understanding of basic electrical systems. Must perform the duties and responsibilities of the project engineer level(specific to Marina and RV/Campground power outlets). Conceive develops and implements new engineering theories and concepts. Evaluate technical proposals and the results of analytical, experimental or design studies. Has responsibility for creative engineering, design evaluation and research development projects (specific to Marina and RV/Campground power outlets). Formulate technical proposals on development of new Marina and RV/Campground power outlet designs and/or advanced application concepts, directed by and within the limits of Division objectives and long-range goals. Coordinate with Marketing on commercial aspects of these programs. Present proposals to management and include basic design theory, cost estimates, feasibility studies and other pertinent data. Provide technical leadership with full realization of its commercial implication and assume coordination responsibilities for assigned engineering projects or programs. Initiate solutions to program or project engineering and research problems of unusual magnitude and scope which generally include aspects of more than one technological area. Keeps informed of engineering progress in the field, the patent situation and development of competitors. Gather and evaluate information on the latest developments of all competitors within assigned area of responsibility. Analyze and interpret this data as related to division objectives and planning and make recommendations as required. Collaborate with other divisions is participating in research and development programs of mutual interest and benefit Minimum of seven years? experience in varying assignments of increased difficulty as an Engineer or Senior Engineer. Must have shown unusual originality in the utilization of scientific discoveries and advances and in developing and incorporating them into useful designs and technical problem solutions. B.S. Degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences. Plus post-graduate degree or equivalent original work contributing to the advancement of engineering in the area of responsibility. Individual must be capable of the following: making presentations to other divisions and customers; writing technical papers for technical organizations and societies; generating new development requests on R&D and ability to solve field failure analysis. Williamsburg, Virginia is located the heart of Colonial Williamsburg.
