Senior Electronic Engineering Technician

This individual will perform relatively routine testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic/mechanical parts and equipment. Wire PWB, build circuits, and conduct environmental tests. Construct and test electronic, electro-mechanical and mechanical prototype designs under the direction of the Design Engineer. Make effective use of computers to track and analyze data. Locate and order parts and equipment necessary for test equipment construction and support activities. Perform, as capable, other related duties and responsibilities as may be schedules from time to time.

Required Skills/Experience:
AAEE degree plus two years experience in digital and analog circuit testing and troubleshooting. Two additional years of directly related experience may be substituted for each year of formal school required. Good working knowledge of oscilloscopes, DVM?s, frequency counters and other test equipment. Other helpful skills: lathe work, TIG welding, vacuum systems. Ability to read color codes, identify components and read schematics and prints. Ability to gauge liquids. Good basic math skills. CRT and PC Word processing skills. Ability to think analytically and coordinate, plan and schedule projects. Good manual dexterity skills.
